PR Tan Hung Seng attended the ASEAN-US Cooperation Programme’s closing event entitled, 'Reflecting on U.S. Government Support to ASEAN through ASEAN-U.S. PROGRESS' held on 16 July 2018 at the ASEAN Secretariat (ASEC). The objective of the event was to reflect upon the ASEAN-U.S. Partnership for Good Governance, Equitable and Sustainable Development and Security (PROGRESS)’ five-year programme. PROGRESS has brought direct benefits to the people of ASEAN with key contributions spanning across the seven work streams: (i) Trafficking in Persons (TIP); (ii) Human Rights; (iii) Rights of Women and Children; (iv) Executive, Legislative and Judiciary Networks; (v) Science-Based Policymaking; (vi) Disaster Risk Reduction and Management; and (vii) Public Outreach, Youth Engagement and Strengthening ASEAN Institutions.
