Have you ever needed help when travelling overseas?
Wen Yi, a Singaporean snowboard enthusiast, was lost and stranded on Whistler Mountain, Canada under extreme weather conditions. Our Honorary-Consul General (HCG) in Vancouver, Mr Terrance K. Salman (‘Terry’) was a shining beacon of hope to Wen Yi and his family through the terrifying ordeal.
Terry and Wen Yi caught up in Singapore earlier in February during Terry’s visit for the 9th HCG Meeting.
Our HCGs help to extend consular assistance to Singaporeans travelling and residing overseas, especially in countries where we don’t have a resident diplomatic presence. Thank you, HCGs, for often going beyond the call of duty to help our overseas Singaporeans in need.
