Meeting between CPR and European Parliament Delegation

The Committee of Permanent Representatives to ASEAN (CPR) met the EU’s Committee on Foreign Affairs, led by Member of the European Parliament (MEP) David McAllister, and the Delegation for Relations with the Countries of Southeast Asia and ASEAN led by MEP Werner Langen, which visited Jakarta from 7 to 8 May 2018 to strengthen ASEAN-EU partnership.  The hour-long meeting was co-chaired by Thai PR Ambassador Phasporn Sangasubana, in her capacity as Country Coordinator for ASEAN-EU Dialogue Relations, and EU Ambassador to ASEAN Francisco Fontan.  The meeting, attended by Singapore PR to ASEAN Ambassador Tan Hung Seng, discussed developments in ASEAN and the EU, and areas of potential cooperation between the two sides.
