Singapore Permanent Representative to ASEAN Tan Hung Seng delivered a speech at the "ASEAN-China Belt and Road Business Forum: the first E-Commerce Cooperation Dialogue” on Wednesday, 16 May 2018.  The event, which was organised by the Chinese Mission to ASEAN and the ASEAN-China Centre was well attended by  officials, businessmen, and academics from ASEAN and China.  Ambassador Tan highlighted the importance of enhancing cooperation in e-commerce, which has expanded significantly in ASEAN. Ambassador Tan also noted that during Singapore’s Chairmanship, ASEAN is pursuing three key initiatives related to e-commerce:  (a) ASEAN Agreement on E-Commerce; (b) ASEAN Digital Integration Framework; and (c) ASEAN Innovation Network.  His remarks are attached.
