Permanent Representative Kok Li Peng attended the 7th ASEAN-Republic of Korea (ROK) Joint Cooperation Committee (JCC) meeting on 19 October 2020.  The meeting was co-chaired by Brunei Permanent Representative Pengiran Hairani Tajuddin and ROK Ambassador to ASEAN Lim Sungnam.

ASEAN expressed appreciation to the ROK for its support of regional efforts to combat the COVID-19 pandemic, as well as continuing to strengthen people-to-people exchanges through innovative programmes like KONNECT ASEAN, in partnership with ASEAN Foundation.The meeting welcomed the adoption of the new ASEAN-ROK Plan of Action (2021-2025) which would further strengthen the ASEAN-ROK strategic partnership.
