Permanent Representative Kok Li Peng attended the 11th ASEAN-Canada Joint Cooperation Committee Meeting (JCC) on 3 April 2023 at the ASEAN Secretariat. ASEAN and Canada agreed to work towards the establishment of a Strategic Partnership this year. The JCC reviewed the implementation of the ASEAN-Canada Plan of Action (2021-2025) and exchanged ideas on ways to further strengthen cooperation in the areas of trade and investment, human resources development, digital economy, and cybersecurity amongst others.
