11th ASEAN-Australia Joint Cooperation Committee Meeting on Thursday

Permanent Representative (PR) of Singapore to ASEAN Ambassador Kok Li Peng attended the 11th ASEAN-Australia Joint Cooperation Committee Meeting on Thursday, 8 April 2021 via videoconference. The Meeting noted the high rate of implementation of the ASEAN-Australia Plan of Action (2020 - 2024), with 94% of its action lines addressed in its first year of implementation and discussed current and potential areas of cooperation. The Meeting also welcomed the annualization of ASEAN-Australia Leaders' Summits, with the first Annual Summit scheduled to be held in October 2021. In this context, the Meeting discussed the future direction of the ASEAN-Australia Strategic Partnership.
