MFA Press Statement: Official Visit to Singapore by His Excellency Li Keqiang, Premier of the State Council of the People's Republic of China, 12 to 16 November 2018
Premier of the State Council of the People’s Republic of China His Excellency Li Keqiang will make an Official Visit to Singapore on 12 to 14 November 2018 and attend the 33rd ASEAN Summit and Related Summits on 14 to 15 November 2018. This will be Premier Li’s first bilateral visit to Singapore in his current capacity.
On 12 November 2018, Premier Li will be hosted to a Welcome Ceremony by Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, after which both leaders will have a delegation meeting, followed by the witnessing of the exchange of several Memoranda of Understanding and agreements, covering areas ranging from trade, finance, cooperation on the Belt & Road Initiative, culture and the environment, among others. Prime Minister Lee will also host an Official Dinner in honour of Premier Li.
On 13 November 2018, Premier Li will deliver the 44th Singapore Lecture, moderated by Deputy Prime Minister and Coordinating Minister for National Security Teo Chee Hean. Premier Li will also attend a dinner jointly organised by the Singapore Business Federation and the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
On 14 November 2018, Premier Li will call on President Halimah Yacob.
Premier Li will attend the ASEAN-related events, including the ASEAN-China Summit, the ASEAN Plus Three Summit and the East Asia Summit on 14 to 15 November 2018.
