H.E. Josep Borrell, the High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy of the European Union and Vice-President of the European Commission (HRVP), visited the ASEAN Secretariat and met with the Secretary-General of ASEAN, H.E. Dato Lim Jock Hoi, on 2 June 2021. During this visit, both the Secretary-General of ASEAN and the EU HRVP attended:

  1. The launch ceremony of the COVID-19 response support to ASEAN, and

  2. The opening of the EU Cooperation Office at the ASEAN Secretariat.
